UK Theme Parks Reopen Today – What You Need To Know

With COVID-19 restrictions being eased and health and safety measures being implemented the UK Theme Park industry is starting to reopen to the public from today 4 July.

Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Thorpe Park, LEGOLAND, Chessington World of Adventures, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and other smaller parks will be reopening from today Saturday 4th July. All parks will be operating with reduced capacity and tickets must be pre-booked. Continue reading


A Huge £3.5Bn UK Theme Park Resort Takes a Step Closer To Becoming A Reality

A new massive 535 acre theme park to be based just outside of London has taken a step closer to fruition with plans for consultation, new reports and local engagement.

The London ResortThe London Resort, dubbed the UK’s answer to Disneyland, is planned to be built on a former cement works in Swanscombe, Kent, just 17 miles from London. The first phase is planned to open in 2024 with the second phase in 2029. The estimated cost of the project is £3.5Bn.

This huge project will be one of the largest construction projects across Europe. Construction is planned to start 2021, transforming some seven million square meters of land. The London Resort when complete will be three times larger than any other UK theme park. The resort is planned to comprise, two theme parks, a water park and an entertainment district.
