Walt Disney World Resort Conjures Up Wicked Fun for the Whole Family This Fall

As summer wanes, the fall season ushers in a variety of enticing family experiences at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. This year, fan-favorite seasonal celebrations will return with new festive and delicious offerings for guests of all ages to enjoy.

Enjoy Haunting Halloween Festivities at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom Park brews up eerie-sistible delights from entertaining parades and exclusive character photo opportunities to scary-good treats. The special-ticket event is offered on select nights from Aug. 11 to Nov. 1 after normal park hours from 7 p.m. to midnight.

  • New for 2023, partygoers can see Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow dressed as the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” in Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade.
  • Thirty scrumptious, specially themed fall and Halloween treats will be offered throughout the park. Select treatswill be exclusively available for purchase at the party while others will be offered to Magic Kingdom guests during regular hours.
    Guests can trick-or-treat their way through the park and indulge in delicious Mars sweets like SKITTLES, SNICKERS and M&M’S, while dressed in their happiest, not-so-scary Halloween costumes.
  • Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, The Seven Dwarfs return this year for event-exclusive photo opportunities.
  • Enchanting entertainment abounds as a spirited pirate band takes over Adventureland with spooky sea shanties.
  • Pop-up parties – featuring Max Goof and his Powerline party pack – will appear throughout the park before the troupe dances its way onto Main Street, U.S.A. ahead of Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade.
  • Party guests can commemorate their visit with an event-themed step-in photo experience.
  • Each guest will also receive a reusable trick-or-treat bag and commemorative print to round out the special Halloween offerings.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Returns to Walt Disney World Resort

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning to Magic Kingdom Park this fall during the resort’s 50th Anniversary celebration.

Disney Boo To You Parade

This fall, ghosts and ghouls of all ages are invited to don their favorite costumes and celebrate all things haunted during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Taking place on 37 select nights Aug. 12 through Oct. 31, 2022, this special event haunts Magic Kingdom Park after normal park operating hours from 7 p.m. to midnight.  

As a part of this limited-capacity event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party attendees will encounter event-exclusive entertainment, notorious Disney villains, frightfully delicious menu items and more! Here’s some of what’s in store: 

  • The Headless Horseman will ride his ghostly steed down Main Street, U.S.A. as a prelude to Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade,” which features floats filled with Disney Characters dressed in their Halloween bestDisney villains and the Haunted Mansion graveyard diggers.  
  • What’s Halloween without candy? During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, guests can go trick-or-treating for M&M’S, SKITTLES, SNICKERS, and other Halloween favorites at locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park. And new this year, guests will also receive a reusable trick-or-treat bag featuring a keepsake 50th Anniversary celebration and Halloween design. 
  • Join the Sanderson Sisters during the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show at Cinderella Castle as they call upon their frightening colleagues to conjure the ultimate “Hocus Pocus” Party Potion.   
  • Celebrate the season alongside favorite Disney characters as they take over the park for their favorite party of the year.  
  • Overlays themed for the occasion will return to several popular Magic Kingdom attractions: Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, Pirates of the Caribbean and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. 
  • The Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington, will host “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.” This can’t-miss nighttime extravaganza features projections, special effects and lighting mixed with fireworks, music and Disney characters.  
  • Discover sweet and savory menu items inspired by fall flavors and the Halloween season.   
  • NEW! In honor of the 50th Anniversary celebration, Disney are adding even more fun to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year in the form of event-exclusive step-in photo opportunities. And in addition to the reusable trick-or-treating tote bag, guests will also receive a Halloween-themed 50thAnniversary celebration commemorative print. 

Tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party may be purchased online beginning May 18. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can begin purchasing tickets as early as May 12. Ticket prices will range from $109 – $199. The event dates are:  

  • August: 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 30 
  • September: 2, 5, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 29, 30 
  • October: 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31 

Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members may purchase specially priced tickets for select dates.

Disney Cancels Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party And H20 Glow Nights

As part of Disney’s reopening plans they have been assessing theme park events and have determined that many of it’s featured shows such as Parades, Stage Shows and Fireworks can not go ahead in the new unprecedented environment.

Disney Boo To You Parade

Disney has taken the decision to cancel the 2020 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP). Additionally, Disney H2O Glow Nights, the nighttime special ticket event at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, will not take place for the remainder of 2020. Guests who have already bought tickets to these events will be assisted with refunds over the coming weeks. Continue reading
