TRON Lightcycle / Run is based on the popular Tron franchise, which began as a 1982 science-fiction film and has since expanded into multiple movies, television shows, and video games. The ride takes guests on a high-speed journey through the digital world of Tron, where they ride on lightcycles, the iconic motorcycles featured in the franchise.

The new attraction, located in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park, is the fastest coaster attraction in a Disney theme park, alongside its sister coaster at Shanghai Disneyland. It masterfully blends coaster thrills with speed, visual effects, music and a one-of-a-kind ride system to create an experience like no other.

The ride’s exterior is impressive on its own, featuring a sleek, futuristic design that stands out in Disney’s Tomorrowland area. Inside, guests are greeted with a massive, illuminated Tron grid and a queue that immerses them in the world of Tron. Guests walk through a series of interactive displays that give them a taste of what’s to come, from the glowing lightcycles on display to the digital screens showing glimpses of the ride’s exhilarating twists and turns.
