D23 Fantastic Worlds Celebration: EPCOT and the Magic of Possibility

The new neighbourhoods that will unify EPCOT.

Disney has shared Information about the park’s reimagined entrance, and how it sets the tone for the entire transformation with its gorgeous new colour palette and an open, inviting layout. Earlier this year Walt Disney Imagineers installed gleaming new pylons as part of the work they’re doing on the new fountain at the base of Spaceship Earth, which will be completed by the end of this year. The fountain will have a new lighting package that will be joined by new lighting for the iconic geosphere of Spaceship Earth, as well. Disney Confirm Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Candlelight Processional will Not Take Place This Year

Shortly after Disney reopened Walt Disney World they announced that Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party would not go ahead. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Disney has now confirmed that their magical Christmas party will not take place this year either.

In addition to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom being cancelled, Disney have also cancelled EPCOT’s Candlelight Professional.

Disney’s Christmas holiday season starts on 6 November and goes on through 30 December with Festive Park Decorations, Gingerbread Men, Elves, Reindeer, Decorated Festive Character Floats, Flotillas and Motorcades 


Disney+ Premiers ‘Magic Of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’, A Behind The Scenes Documentary Of Disney’s Theme Park

A new documentary series going behind the scenes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT is set to show on Disney+ starting 25th September.

Using cutting-edge technology, such as custom-built GoPro enclosures, 18-foot cranes and underwater camera systems to highlight the magic found in every corner of the kingdom. “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” from National Geographic, will give viewers an all-access pass behind the scenes of two of Disney’s famous parks, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT’s The Seas with Nemo & Friends. 

The eight part series was filmed over a five month period and introduces viewers to a magnificent array of 300 species and 5,000-plus animals that have their own unique personalities and family dynamics. Continue reading


Plans Changed For EPCOT’s Future Construction Projects

Two projects have been removed from Disney’s planned transformation of their EPCOT theme park.

The ‘EPCOT Experience’, located in the Odyssey Events Pavilion in Future World, showcases the planned changes to the theme park using a detailed model. The model has been altered with both Spaceship Earth and Mary Poppins attractions being removed. Continue reading


Disney’s Food And Wine Festival At EPCOT Will Go Ahead This Year

The International Food and Wine Festival that Disney hold annually at EPCOT will go ahead in a modified format.

Disney confirmed that the festival will take place and will be offering over 20 signature global market places like Hawaii, Hops & Barley, and Islands of the Caribbean, spaced out around the park.

The modified Food and Wine Festival will begin on 15 July and continue through the fall. This will be the longest festival that Disney has held. Continue reading
