A new documentary series going behind the scenes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT is set to show on Disney+ starting 25th September.
Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Using cutting-edge technology, such as custom-built GoPro enclosures, 18-foot cranes and underwater camera systems to highlight the magic found in every corner of the kingdom. “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” from National Geographic, will give viewers an all-access pass behind the scenes of two of Disney’s famous parks, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT’s The Seas with Nemo & Friends.
The eight part series was filmed over a five month period and introduces viewers to a magnificent array of 300 species and 5,000-plus animals that have their own unique personalities and family dynamics. Continue reading
Two projects have been removed from Disney’s planned transformation of their EPCOT theme park.

The ‘EPCOT Experience’, located in the Odyssey Events Pavilion in Future World, showcases the planned changes to the theme park using a detailed model. The model has been altered with both Spaceship Earth and Mary Poppins attractions being removed. Continue reading
The International Food and Wine Festival that Disney hold annually at EPCOT will go ahead in a modified format.
Disney confirmed that the festival will take place and will be offering over 20 signature global market places like Hawaii, Hops & Barley, and Islands of the Caribbean, spaced out around the park.
The modified Food and Wine Festival will begin on 15 July and continue through the fall. This will be the longest festival that Disney has held. Continue reading
With the Disney theme parks still being closed and Universal Orlando only recently reopened. Plus with all the travel restrictions currently in place, getting back to experience the Magic of the Orlando theme parks may seem a long way off.
Starting back in March we created some virtual tours of the theme parks to help our site visitors relive some of the theme park experiences.
I was lucky enough to have experienced the 27th EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival this year before world events closed the park. The festival was scheduled for 4 March to 1 June this year.
I was privileged to have been invited by Disney to attend the opening of Mickey and Minnies Runaway Railway earlier this year. Whilst at WDW I took the opportunity to experience the International Flower & Garden Festival over at EPCOT.
