Universal Orlando Release Details of Epic Universe

The creative team behind Universal Epic Universe introduces details about this amazing new theme park, opening 2025 at Universal Orlando Resort.

Universal Epic Universe will offer an entirely new level of experiences that will forever redefine theme park entertainment. Guests will venture beyond their wildest imagination, traveling into beloved stories and through vibrant lands on adventures where the journey is as astounding as the destination. The new location will feature over 50 unique compelling experiences with a theme park, an entertainment centre, hotels, shops, restaurants and more.

The first instalment of a new video series presents an overview of Epic Universe along with the reveal of each of the five astonishing worlds which make up the park.

Epic Universe is Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth theme park, built on 750 acres of land, just a few miles from Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Volcano Bay. 2021 Theme Park Attendance Road To Recovery

The latest attendance figures from the TEA and AECOM’s report show a marked recovery in 2021 for the major theme parks and water parks as they continued to adapt to the evolving climate from the impacts of the COVID pandemic.

Disney, Universal and SeaWorld theme park attendances took a major hammering in 2020 due to the pandemic. With park closures, reduced operating capacities and when the parks eventually re-opened, travel restrictions and public confidence all contributed to a massive decrease in attendace during 2020.

The Magic Kingdom theme park at Walt Disney World saw a 67% drop in attendance with 2019 figures showing nearly 21 million whereas 2020 figures had dropped to 6.9 million. However the 2021 attendance figures show a bounce back of 82% for the Magic Kingdom with attendance at 12.69 million.

Florida’s biggest Christian music festival, Rock the Universe at Universal Orlando Resort, is back for its 25th year January 27-29. The rocking weekend kicks off Friday night with performances by GRAMMY-nominated rock band, Skillet, Northern Irish folk-rock worship band, Rend Collective, Dove award-winning band, Bethel Music and more.
