SeaWorld Launches 60th Anniversary Celebrations

SeaWorld is turning 60 this year, and to celebrate, the world-class parks are throwing a party and marking the occasion throughout the year with all-new themed rides and attractions, exciting new presentations and shows, plus limited-edition food and beverage items, merchandise and collectibles that will be announced in the coming weeks. 
 
 
All part of its “So Much More to Sea” 60th anniversary campaign, SeaWorld is inviting guests to dive deeper and explore more than ever before, including sharing history and milestones in park and through digital channels. The party officially gets started across the parks on Thursday, March 21, 60 years to the day that SeaWorld opened its gates for the first time in 1964. The anniversary kick-off party will be in full swing into the weekend, continuing through Sunday, March 24, and anniversary celebrations will continue with more special events and experiences coming this summer. Guests are invited to share their favourite SeaWorld memories over the past six decades and throughout the anniversary celebrations using #SeaWorld60.

SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival Returns 2nd February

SeaWorld Orlando is kicking off 2024 with the return of the popular Seven Seas Food Festival, and it’s bringing an array of ALL-NEW flavours to this incredible seasonal event. Orlando’s largest theme park food festival runs select dates from 2 February – 19 May, where guests will be able to taste flavours from around the world while strolling between award-winning attractions and incredible animal presentations.
 
With over 200 food and drink options inspired by diverse cultures worldwide, food enthusiasts and families will discover a gastronomic journey at international marketplaces scattered throughout the park, highlighting delicacies from Italy, Ireland, Brazil, Germany, Asia, and beyond.
 
Some of the ALL-NEW food items guests can taste this year include:
  • NEW Fried Pickles: Served with a Texas Petal Sauce
  • NEW Whisky Maple Bacon Cinnamon Roll: Soft Sweet Cinnamon Roll, Crispy Crumbled Bacon, Topped with Whiskey Maple Glaze 
  • NEW Bangers and Mash: Guinness Sausage, Boursin Mashed Potatoes, Peas, Gravy
  • NEW St. Patrick’s Day Nachos: Crispy Potato Chips, Corned Beef, Cheese & Red Cabbage

Designed as THE ultimate family launch coaster experience, “Penguin Trek” features a unique snowmobile styled ride car where once aboard, riders will embark on an exhilarating journey through the breathtaking vastness of Antarctica as they join a penguin research mission unlike any other. 
 
Featuring two exhilarating launches and a maze of twists and turns, this unforgettable coaster moves at speeds of up to 43 mph across a 3,020-foot track that traverses both indoors and outside. Yet, what sets this experience apart as truly extraordinary is its unparalleled finale: as the coaster comes to a halt, guests find themselves not in a simulated penguin colony, but in the very heart of SeaWorld Orlando’s own penguin habitat.  An experience for the whole family, the ride accommodates rider heights from 42-inches to 77-inches.

Orlando Theme Parks Going Cashless

Do you like to use cash at the Orlando Theme Parks well from next week you may not be able to at some of the major theme parks in Orlando.

SeaWorld and Aquatica Orlando along with Busch Gardens Tampa are transitioning to cashless operations starting 30 August 2023.

“Just swipe or tap your credit card, debit card, or smart device with Apple Pay or Google Pay everywhere you typically use cash. It’s faster, more secure, and convenient, so you can spend less time in line and more time having fun!

If you don’t have a payment card, we have you covered. Just stop by one of the easy-to-use Cash-to-Card kiosks located throughout the park to transfer your cash (free of charge) onto a Visa prepaid debit card that can be used anywhere Visa is accepted.”

SeaWorld Orlando Raising the “Bar” with the Return of the Craft Beer Festival

The Craft Beer Festival is hopping back to SeaWorld Orlando. Beginning July 28, guests can sample the more than 100 craft brews, wines, seltzers, and cocktails offered and enjoy over 15 perfectly paired dishes suited for any palette. Joining a host of returning favourites, the festival will also feature an array of brand-new, mouth-watering drinks and dishes.
 
 
The festival will run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through September 4 and is included with general admission. Guests can purchase a festival lanyard upon entering the park and can choose between the 8- and 12-sample packages. Festive entertainment will keep the party going from day to night.
 
NEW Delicious Drink Offerings
There are plenty of beverage options guests can choose from during SeaWorld Orlando’s Craft Beer Festival. Some of the local breweries featured include Crooked Can, Motorworks Brewing and Orange Blossom Brewing Co. Local Orlando brews at the festival include:
  • Orange Blossom Honey Pilsner 
  • Orange Blossom City Beautiful IPA 
  • Crooked Can Florida Sunshine Mango Lagger
  • Crooked Can Highstepper American IPA  
  • Motorworks Brewing Pulp Friction Grapefruit IPA 
  • Motorworks Brewing Midnight Espresso Coffee Porter
If guests are looking for something other than beer, there are several wine and cocktail options to help them cool off. Besides the many returning classics and fan-favourites, a brand-new selection of cocktails and specialty drinks will also be available at this year’s event.  
 
Some of these new additions include the Hurricane, Summer Shandy, Strawberry Whiskey Smash, Surfs Up, Sparkling Mojito, and Fizzy Shine. Alongside these additions are options for the adventurous sampler, such as the Jalapeno Margarita (Jalapeno Tequila, Triple Sec, Lime), Orchard Island (Titos Vodka, Milagros Tequila, Calypso Spiced Rum, Triple Sec, Peach, Pumpkin, Sour Mix), and Blackberry Peach Sangria (Titos Vodka, White Wine, Blackberry, Peach).  
 
NEW Fantastic Food Samplings
 
 
Beer isn’t the only feature at the Craft Beer Festival. Perfectly paired with guests’ favourite brews are the wide variety of delicious, mouthwatering food samples available to choose from. While guests can expect the return of the immensely popular Banana Foster Beignets and Walking Taco, they will be accompanied by a more expansive list of food offerings than ever before.  
 
New food samples to the festival this year include: Pulled Pork Sliders with jalapeno slaw, Short Rib Poutine served with cheese curds, Pork Belly and Kimchi, Street Corn coated in Cotija cheese and Flame Cheeto crumbs, Wisconsin Bratwurst, Michelada Shrimp Ceviche, and a Churro Cheesecake served with a dark chocolate sauce. 
 
Ignite the Night with Exciting Entertainment
 
SeaWorld Orlando’s Craft Beer Festival is happening at the same time as Summer Spectacular, SeaWorld’s signature summer night event. Guests can enjoy jaw-dropping animal encounters and attractions during the day, then dance the night away to live music in Club SeaGlow. For a limited time, guests can even catch their favourite artists performing a free concert in the Nautilus Theater. Before concluding a day at the Craft Beer Festival, guests can raise a glass while watching fireworks and fountain spectacular “Ignite.”
