Disney Cruise Line ‘Disney Magic at Sea’ Staycation Sailings Go on Sale Beginning 30 April to U.K. Residents

Disney Cruise Line’s recently announced “Disney Magic at Sea” staycation sailings will go on sale to U.K. residents beginning 30 April 2021.

Featuring enchanted entertainment and with multiple layers of health and safety measures, the Disney Magic cruise ship will sail mostly 2- and 3-night voyages, as well as limited 4-night sailings round-trip from Liverpool, Southampton, Newcastle and London Tilbury. The brand-new, limited time sailings provide guests the opportunity to experience the magic of Disney Cruise Line close to home.

When: 30 April 2021, 9:00 a.m., BST (Booking for Castaway Club members – guests who have previously sailed with Disney Cruise Line – is 28 – 29 April 2021)

Disney Magic at Sea Itinerary Details:

Liverpool: Select dates from 15 – 30 July 2021, for 2-, 3- and one 4-night sailings

Southampton: Select dates from 4 – 30 August 2021, for 2-, 3- and limited 4-night sailings

Newcastle: Select dates from 3 – 11 September 2021, for 2- and 3-night sailings

London Tilbury: Select dates from 14 September – 1 October 2021, for 2- and 3-night sailings

Disney Cruise Line is implementing multiple layers of health and safety measures considering guidance from the U.K. government, health authorities and medical experts. This includes COVID-19 testing, health screenings, face coverings, reduced guest capacity, physical distancing and enhanced cleaning, among other measures. ‘The World’s Most Magical Celebration’ Begins 1st Oct at Walt Disney World Resort

On 1st October 2021 it will be the 50th anniversary since Walt Disney World officially opened to guests for the first time. To honour those magical 50 years Walt Disney World will be hosting a 18 month long 50th Anniversary celebration called ‘The World’s Most Magical Celebration’.

This 18-month celebratory event will feature new experiences at the resort’s four theme parks and beyond, where shimmering EARidescent décor will appear as if by magic. Shining at the center of it all will be Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park, which will add to its royal makeover from 2020 with new gold bunting, sparkling golden embellishments and other new enhancements, including a 50th anniversary crest warmly welcoming guests to the join the festivities.

Florida Theme Parks Reached Max Capacity This Weekend

For the first time since reopening, Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld theme parks all hit their maximum capacity for both days of the weekend.

The theme parks are all currently running at a reduced maximum capacity of 30% from that of pre-covid maximum capacity. Since reopening they have seen relatively low guest numbers and have not reached the 30% level until this weekend. Continue reading


No Covid-19 Outbreaks Have Been Traced Back To Disney, SeaWorld Or Universal Theme Parks In Florida

With the recent spike in Coronavirus cases in Florida there has been much speculation that the reopening of the Orlando theme parks have contributed to this spike.

It has been several weeks now since the theme parks in Orlando started to reopen. Universal Studios the first major theme park to reopen to guests did so on 5th June. SeaWorld reopened on 11 June. Disney reopened later with Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on 11 July.
