Andy’s backyard welcomes more toys at Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Like all of Toy Story Land, Roundup Rodeo brings to life the stories, characters and heart from the award- winning Disney Pixar “Toy Story” films. It is a place where guests shrink to the size of toys and feel like they have stepped into a clever, whimsical world filled with beloved toys.

Welcome to the Rodeo!
Andy has created a new rodeo arena for all of his favorite toys, featuring game pieces and iconic “Toy Story” characters, stickers and more. Imagineers worked closely with Disney Pixar Animation Studios to bring the space to life, developing unique designs and artwork that can only be found in the restaurant. “We are thrilled to work with our partners at Disney Pixar Animation Studios to create this unforgettable dining experience that blends great food, storytelling and whimsy,” said Ben van Beusekom, senior artisan specialist, Walt Disney Imagineering. “A visit to this special place is a must for Toy Story fans who have come to love Andy and his toys as much as we do.”

When guests step into Roundup Rodeo BBQ, they become Andy’s honorary toys. Arriving in the dining room, they enter a scene depicting a toy rodeo in full swing and come face-to-face with life-size figures. Jessie and Trixie take the reins in the first dining space, while Bo Peep and her sheep command center stage in the second.

Absorbed in the action, guests are fully immersed in Andy’s imagination – and the world he has created. Continue reading

Space 220 Restaurant Lifts Off at EPCOT

Space 220 restaurant at EPCOT is scheduled to begin service in mid-September… another milestone in the transformation of EPCOT underway at Walt Disney World Resort.

Space 220 Restaurant at EPCOT

The Space 220 restaurant is located adjacent to the Mission: SPACE attraction, and takes fine dining to a whole new level.  The immersive experience begins as Guests check in to the Space 220 Departure Lounge in Future World. From here, Guests will board one of two “Space Elevators” that will transport them to what seems like 220 miles above Earth to Centauri Space Station. As Guests begin their ascent, they’ll look down through a viewport to see EPCOT shrink away; looking up they’ll see the Space Station come into view.

Once Guests have docked, they’ll head through the Centauri Space Station themed dining area. Inside the dining area, Guests will experience a panoramic view of Earth below, and a variety of work and leisure activities taking place beyond the windows of the Space Station themed restaurant.

And the views are just part of the experience. Disney Imagineers are excited to have created this experience for Executive Chef Marc Kusche to showcase his culinary wonders. The Space 220 restaurant menu will feature stellar dishes and gourmet recipes, with a two-course prix fixe menu for lunch, and a three-course prix fixe menu for dinner. The upscale, contemporary fare will bring new meaning to “the height of dining!” Rounding out the meal will be unique beverages – from fine wine to atmospheric cocktails and more.
