Official Details released for Universal Orlando’s new VelociCoaster

Universal Orlando has released some official details for their new rollercoaster currently under construction at their Islands of Adventure theme park.

Opening in Summer 2021 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Jurassic World VelociCoaster Brings to Life the Edge-of-Your-Seat Excitement of Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Epic Film Franchise in an Extreme Roller Coaster Experience.

Florida’s fastest and tallest launch coaster – along with a pack of fierce Velociraptors – will be unleashed at Universal Orlando Resort in 2021 with the debut of Jurassic World VelociCoaster. Concepted and designed by the award-winning Universal Creative team in partnership with acclaimed filmmakers from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, this new species of roller coaster touts a series of intense maneuvers that will send guests catapulting up to 70 mph and more than 150 feet in the air with the swiftest of prehistoric predators. Baby Giraffe Born At Disney’s Animal Kingdom

In the early hours of Tuesday 22nd September a baby female Masai Giraffe was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Weighing in at 156 pounds, she is healthy, actively nursing and was strong and feisty during her neonatal exam. Our girl, yet-to-be-named, is already showing she has a close bond with her mom Mara. The pair will continue to stay backstage until baby meets all her developmental milestones. We expect her to join the herd on the savanna in the coming weeks.

Disney Officially announces the reopening of Hong Kong Disneyland

After initially reopening on 18th June Hong Kong Disneyland had to close again a month later on 15th July, due to rising cases of Covid-19, (details here), Disney has now announced the new reopening date.

We’re pleased to share that today Hong Kong Disneyland announced that it will officially reopen on September 25, 2020! 

In alignment with the latest guidance from health and government authorities, the resort will continue its measured approach with health and safety measures implemented as a top priority, including capacity control, health screenings, temperature checks, requiring face masks, social distancing, and increased cleaning and disinfecting.  Continue reading


New Disney Villains Edition of Monopoly

Hasbro has released a new version of Disney Villains Monopoly that will bring out the villainous side of you as you scheme and plot your way to victory.

In this new edition you can elect to play as one of six different Disney Villains. The Evil Queen from ‘Snow white’ or Maleficent from ‘Sleeping Beauty’ might be popular choices, or how about playing, Cruella de Vil from ‘101 Dalmations’, Scar from ‘The Lion King’, Jfar from ‘Aladdin’ or Hook from ‘Peter Pan.

Hasbro has previously released a Villains edition but this one has been reworked to be more interactive and includes some twists to keep you entertained. You are encouraged to be ruthless and compete to see is the most evil of all. Players must buy and sell Villain Contracts instead of property, and the more villains a player hires, the more money they can collect. Continue reading


Walt Disney World Water Parks Remain Closed Until 2021

Disney has confirmed that that their two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will not reopen until March 2021.

Disney usually alternate their water parks over the winter season with one open and the other closed. Due to the current pandemic their water parks have so far not reopened with the rest of Walt Disney World.

Disney has now confirmed that both parks will remain closed and that they plan on opening one of the water parks on 7th March, 2021. Continue reading
