Walt Disney World Could Extend New Theme Park Reservation System Through 2021

When Walt Disney World reopens its theme parks beginning 11 July they will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system, this will require guests to make an advanced reservation for theme park entry.

At this point Disney has not released official details on how this reservation system will work or exactly when it will be introduced.

It has been reported that the Annual Passholders admission calendar showed that reservations would be required through June 2021. The calendars are of course subject to change and may be updated as the theme parks reopen.

Some information came to light earlier this week when Theme Park Ticket vendor Floridatix released some information stating “It has since been communicated to us that this reservation system will also be in use for 2021”. Please note that Floridatix have since removed that information from their website and social media.

We are not sure if the information released was incorrect or if it wasn’t supposed to be released yet. Either way it does seem reasonable that the reservation system could extend in to 2021, especially given how many operational processes Disney are currently having to change.
